FIRST SONG LISTENING OF THE YEAR!!

Dear families, 
usually on MONDAYS we  WILL finish our lessons listening to a song that it has  been previously chosen by the students. The proposals must follow two rules: no swearwords on the lyrics and no violence on the song video.  I AM AWARE  THAT WE HAVE A LONG LIST OF SUGGESTIONS, SO FAR.

The MONDAY'S listening are organized as follow: we will listen the same song four sessions in a row. The first MONDAY the students will be given the entire lyrics, instead the second and third MONDAY the lyrics will have missing words to be found out by them. Finally, the fourth MONDAY the students will be given the lyrics, again with gaps (missing words). These gaps will be a mix of the blanks worked on the previous lessons. In this case, the fourth session, the activity will be corrected by the teacher and marked. The students will listen to the song twice and, depending on the level of difficulty of the song, they will have the lyrics on the video TO PERFORM THE ACTIVITY.

The goal of this activity is to practice the correct English pronunciation. Obviously, it is impossible for the students to learn all the words that appear in a song, but I believe that some new vocabulary will be acquired. Moreover, singing a song trying to follow a model is one of the best ways to improve their pronunciation.

els dilluns solem acabar les classes amb l'audició d'una cançó que és triada prèviament pels alumnes de la classe. Les cançons proposades han de seguir dues normes: la lletra no pot tenir paraules malsonants i en el vídeo no hi pot haver imatges violents o inapropiades. Ja tenim una llarga llista de propostes.

Els Monday listenings funcionen de la següent manera: escoltam la mateixa cançó durant 4 dilluns seguits. El primer dijous els alumnes tindran tota la lletra. El segon i el tercer dijous els alumnes tindran la lletra però hi faltaran paraules que hauran de trobar mentre escolten la cançó. Finalment, el quart dijous tindran també la lletra amb buits (que seran una mescla dels buits del segon i tercer dilluns) i serà un exercici corregit per la mestra i amb una nota numèrica ( una de les moltes que arreplegarem al llarg del curs) . Els alumnes podran escoltar la cançó dues vegades, i depenent de la seva dificultat, tindran la lletra en el vídeo o no per emplenar els buits de la lletra de la cançó.

L'objectiu d'aquest exercici és passar-ho bé i practicar la correcte pronuncia. És impossible que aprenguin totes i cada una de les paraules que apareixen a la cançó però segur que algunes de noves seran adquirides i segur que cantaran imitant el model, per tant millorant la seva pronúncia.

Basta que escriviu les vostres respostes en un paper en blanc: si posau el nombre de l'activitat i el nombre de la frase, us serà més fàcil a l'hora de corregir. Us enviaré les respostes dilluns.
