LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF

Dear families,
I would like to introduce myself: my name is Núria Quintana. This year I am your children English teacher.

The intention of this blog is to be a tool for sharing with you what we are learning at school, therefore you could be able to back your children in their learning process.

In the first place, I would like to inform you about the contents that we will work this first term:

The 4th graders A have English class on MONDAY (whole group), on TUESDAY (early morning session) and on THURSDAY (half group session)

The 4th graders B have English class on MONDAY  (whole group), on FRIDAY (early morning session) and on THURSDAY (half group session)

Obviously, each of these sessions have unlike procedures and rhythms, as it is completely different to deal with a big or small group of students or to dispose of 30 minutes or an entire hour to work the contents.

Eventually, the contents of this term will be:

• My presentation: we will learn how to talk about ourselves by using present simple grammar structures (I like, I don't like) and who we are. Lexicon related to hobbies and other activities.
• My body: we will review and wide the vocabulary about the parts of the body and physical description, as well as, the verb have/has got.
• Christmas: we will review the vocabulary related to Christmas while we learn how to write a postcard.

At the bottom of this page you can find my mail address as I would like to keep in touch with you so you could tell me about any doubt or requirement, as I am well aware that sometimes it is difficult to contact us.

Finally, perhaps it is a bit wired for you to receive all this information in English ( you can find the translation down below) but remember that this is an English class blog and that you have a small translator at home ;)

em voldria presentar: som na Núria Quintana i aquest any som la mestra d'anglès dels vostres fills i filles.
He creat aquest bloc amb la intenció de compartir amb vosaltres el que feim a l'escola, d'aquesta manera us serà més fàcil acompanyar-los en els seus aprenentatges.


En primer lloc, voldria comunicar-vos breument el què farem aquest trimestre:

Amb el grup de 4rt A tenim classe els dilluns (grup sencer), dimarts ( sessió primera hora del matí) i els dijous ( mig grup).
Amb el grup de 4rt B tenim classe els dilluns (grup sencer), divendres (sessió primera hora del matí) i els dijous (mig grup).

Cada una d'aquestes sessions té un format diferent, ja que no és el mateix treballar amb tot el grup que amb la meitat o treballar una o mitja hora.

Els continguts d'aquest primer trimestre seran els següents:

1. My presentation: treballarem informació relacionada amb un mateix, estructures gramaticals en present per parlar de coses que ens agraden (I like/I don't like) i de qui som. Vocabulari relacionat amb hobbies i altres activitats d'interès del grup.

2. My body: treballarem vocabulari relacionat amb el cos humà i la descripció física. Recordar com funciona el verb Have/has got.

3. Christmas: recordarem el lèxic relacionat amb les festes de Nadal i treballarem el format de la carta breu (postal).
